The park offers a 290-foot lighted fishing pier that’s available for use 24 hours a day and a catch-and-release pond.

Freedom Park is the site of an 18th Century cemetery, the Revolutionary War Battle of Spencer’s Ordinary and a 17th Century domicile.
Water Recreation on the Chickahominy River
Chickahominy Riverfront Park features a boat ramp to launch personal watercraft and it’s also available for use 24 hours a day.
James City County Recreation Center
James City County offers a variety of swimming and water fitness classes for ages 5 months to adults. More than 150 classes are available monthly.
Kidsburg features separate play areas for children ages 2-5 and 5-12, a ship replica, swing areas and a zip line.
Greensprings Interpretive Park
Over 200 species of birds have been documented on this site, which is part of the Virginia Birding Trail.
Amenities include a 0.6-mile paved ADA accessible multiuse trail, sand volleyball courts, lighted basketball courts and tennis/pickleball courts, Wi-Fi connectivity and lots of open space.
