General Services Annual Report
Fiscal Years 2019-2020 Overview
On behalf of the employees of the General Services department, it is with pleasure that I present our FY19-20 Annual Report. This report highlights the Department’s fundamental services, quantifies essential activities and shows the day-to-day operations performed by our dedicated staff. There are three major accomplishments that should be noted, as each of these took tremendous effort and commitment by staff. The implementation of a new computerized asset and maintenance management system, the transition to a fee-based curbside recycling program and supporting our customers during the COVID-19 pandemic. As we move forward, General Services will continue to evaluate the services we provide and ensure we provide the best customer service possible.
It is with the support of the Board of Supervisors, County Administration, our commissions, committees and boards that we are able to accomplish the goals set forth in the Strategic Plan. With this support, we are able to construct award-winning projects, provide outstanding customer service and look for ways to streamline our processes.
Our annual report summarizes the hard work, knowledge, ongoing commitment and dedication that General Services staff provides to our citizens, customers and visitors, and I am grateful to lead such an outstanding team.
