James City County offers year round sports classes, clinics, leagues and events for youth and adults. Sport classes and clinics cater to development and foundational skills and tournaments and leagues allow for competition and friendly play. Check out the complete list of year-round programs! Introduction to Pickleball

Get introduced to one of the nation’s fasting growing sports: pickleball! If you didn’t already know, pickleball is a paddlesport that combines badminton, tennis and table tennis and is played on smaller tennis courts. Join local USA Pickleball Ambassador, Jeff Anthony, as he introduces the basic rules and playing fundamentals. All equipment is provided and all participants will be required to follow the current safety and health guidelines. Preregistration is required at least one week in advance of start date.

Have fun learning beginner level Taekwondo techniques and dojo protocol. Participants will learn respect and discipline while practicing blocks, kicks, self-defense and fore balance.

Bumps, sets and digs are the name of the game! Get oriented to the court, hones your skills, and learn fundamental and technical skills from local Williamsburg Volleyball Club coaches.

Esports Winter Season Registration Virtual! ● Ages 8-18 $50

GGLeagues is an esports tournament organizer, who organizes gaming tournaments for all ages at the local and statewide levels. Become the GGLeagues champion and win prizes! Sign up now through Jan. 10 for our GG Leagues winter season that starts Jan. 24 and will run for six weeks.

Glow! Bike Ride ● All Ages
Oct. 7, 6:30-8:30 p.m. $5

Grab your bike for a glowing nighttime ride! Riders of all ages and experiences are welcome to attend this group ride. We’ll discuss important tips of how to ride safely at night and there will be a contest for best and brightest bike! 

Glow! Pickleball ● Ages 16+
Dec. 9, 6:30-8:30 p.m. $5

Veterans Park (Kidsburg), 3793 Ironbound Road 
Get your glow on while playing pickleball under the blacklights! Bring your neon shirt and paddle to join in on the fun. Previous pickleball experience is encouraged. 

Glow! Family Dodgeball ● All Ages
Dec. 16, 6:30-8:30 p.m. $5

Get the family together for this friendly competition under the blacklights! We’ll have matches with adults v. children, children v. children, and everyone v. each other! Make sure to wear the brightest outfit in your closet.
